Italian Sandwich Spread

3 ounces frozen or canned artichoke hearts; drained and coarsely
not marinated in oil
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
1 tablespoon dried oregano or marjoram leaves
1/4 cup diced tomato; 1 medium
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 ounce pitted calamata olives
2 tablespoons capers; drained

Mix all ingredients in a non-reactive bowl. Use as a spread for Grilled Italian Sandwich (see previous page) or as a topping for Crostini. NOTES : Yield: 1 cup. 42 0 0 0 3133 0 0 26010 0
